One of My Favorite Shows...

The King of Queens has been one of my favorite shows for a long time and I enjoy it tons, and what I love even more is watching it with the wife and seeing her reaction to some of the things that are said (it's quite hilarious to watch) But one thing that makes the show is the Chemistry between Dug (Kevin James) and Carrie (Leah Remini) they both make the show hilarious as well as heartwarming at times. Plus you can't forget Basement Arti, What would the show be without him!

My Life in Ruins

Nia Vardalos the star of My Big Fat Greek Wedding returns to the big screen in My Life in Ruins.

When Georgia becomes a tour guide in Greece she is determined to get her Kefi (aka mojo) back.

But after several months or so of being a tour guide of the famous Greek ruins, Georgia starts to get a little fed up with the fact that she is not appreciated in what she does and is always being given the TWWLTS tourists (those we would like to smack!)

When the movie begins Georgia has decided that she is going to be putting in her two weeks and will no longer be offering her tour expertise to those who don't appreciate it.

As the dreaded tour begins we meet all of the quote on quote Lovely people she will be the tour guide over for the next two weeks and like all tours their is always the rich snobs, interesting couples and the ever famous smart arce who can't keep his comments to himself.

At the beginning of the tour no one can stand each other which will make for a long tour of the ancient Greek sites but the one saving grace for Georgia it seems is her homeless looking bus driver Poupi (yes that's his real name and it is even pronounced as it sounds) who drives her crazy as well but seems to ad some comic relief to the stress in her life.

After a few days on the tour the group seems to somewhat warm up to each other and to Georgia as well, and through the whole experience the whole group becomes quite fond of one another and all the while they help give Georgia her Kefi Back.

Not the greatest acting I'll admit that but this makes for a fun light hearted comedy.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

In the second installment of the Transformer series we are introduced to the most infamous decepticon known as the Fallen.

The Fallen and all of the Decepticons have a plan to take out the Autobots and anyone whom should stand in their way in their fight for world domination!

This was a pretty good follow up from the last Transformers Flick I wouldn't recommend it for young children.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi action violence, language, some crude and sexual material, and brief drug material

Four Christmases

This movie could have been a fun holiday movie, but instead turned out to be a real crap fest.

Kate (Reese Witherspoon) and Brad (Vince Vaughn) decide that for Christmas instead of going home for the holidays to visit their parents they would instead lie to them and go to the Bahamas for a tropical holiday.

But their plans turn on them when a huge storm hits and their trip is canceled and get this for irony while at the airport Kate and Brad end up on the news and it just so happens their parents see them on t.v. and as fast as their little plan of leaving for the holidays happened they are now ending up having Christmas with all four parents.

In this movie we spend one anxiety filled day with the two love birds as they go to each others parents homes (both Kate and brads parents are divorced so they have four houses to visit in one day) and it is one mess after another at this point and in my opinion the whole movie has lost its charm and has turned into one of the worst holiday movies I have ever seen. Plus the Chemistry between Reese and Vince could not have been worse! I say Bah Humbug to this one.

No Stars

Four Christmases Rated PG-13 For Some Sexual Language and Humor

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

This is one my favorite movies! I didn't expect to like it as much as I did but I think the thing that made me like it was the way the characters were depicted in this film especially Brad Pitt (Who Knew!)

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is the Story of a baby born in the form of an old man.

Benjamin was thought to only live to be a few months old, but to everyones amazement he starts aging backwards, and thus begins the story of Benjamin Button.

Benjamin learns life's most important lessons while in his youth, as well as getting to experience the things in life he never thought he would. As Benjamin continues through his strange existence he meets Daisy who would soon become the love of his life.

The great thing about this movie is the love story between Benjamin and Daisy. Being able to see the different stages they go through in life together and especially the most heartwarming part of the film is when Benjamin grows younger and Daisy grows older. Daisy cares for Benjamin as he grows to be the age of an infant as if he were her own. The thing that really breaks your heart in this movie is knowing that Benjamin and Daisy could not grow old together, instead it is the exact opposite and even though their love for each other is so strong they both knew it couldn't last forever.

I 100% loved every bit of this film. It's one of those rare movies that make you wish they could go on forever, and in this case I wish it could have.

Four Stars ****

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Rated PG-13 For Brief War Violence, Sexual Content, Language and Smoking

Just to take a Moment....

I just wanted to take a moment and reflect on the wonderful General Conference weekend we have just been able to enjoy and the messages we were blessed to hear.
I look forward for the opportunity that is ours every sixth months to be able to hear the words from the prophet's and apostles of the Lord and to have our testimonies nourished and strengthened.
I am very grateful to belong to a church that I know is true, and know that we are being led by inspired leaders that guide us in righteous paths that will take us back to our loving Heavenly Father and savior Jesus Christ.

Duplicity

Rented this movie from the red box and I gotta say glad I didn't pay for full admission.

We watched this pointless movie for about forty minutes then shut it right off. A good movie will have introduced the plot within the first few minutes, however this one seemed to drag on and make you wish you could poke your eyes out.

Skip It.

The Invention of Lying

The Invention of Lying opened in theaters today, Can't wait to see it!

Review to come soon.

The Lost Symbol

I just finished The Lost Symbol and I have to say Dan Brown as an author is amazing! I have read Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code and his latest The Lost Symbol.

In The Lost Symbol we race through the streets of Washington D.C. with Robert Langdon in his hopes to protect a secret that is on the verge of being revealed to the world. A secret that if revealed may change the world forever.

I loved this book especailly the message it contains at the end. It's inspiring and a great read!
