When In Rome

When In Rome was a sweet lighthearted breezy Romantic Comedy and I liked it!

When Beth (Kristen Bell) goes to Rome for her sisters wedding she had no idea that she would end up with 5 guys on the run to prove their love for her.
How this all began, While in Rome after her sisters wedding Beth takes a visit to the fountain of love where those seeking love throw their coins in for good luck and hoping that they will find love, however after getting shot down by a guy she was into Beth beth decides to make fun of the fountain of love and so she thinks she would be doing 5 people a favor at not having a broken heart by taking their coins out of the fountain.
What Beth didn't expect was those 5 guys who tossed their coins into the fountain following her all the way back to New York and doing whatever it takes to get her to love them!
But when Nick (Josh Duhamel) a smooth talkin New Yorker gets involved Beth is convinced that she took his coin and she try's everything she can to avoid him. However when she starts to realize she has feelings for him she wonders if their fling could ever be the real thing.

This one is well worth an A

The Golden Globes took place last night and I wanted to post some of the results

Sandra Bullock won a Golden Globe for her AMAZING performance in
The Blind Side!
All I have to say is it was well deserved! She did an incredible job! I saw her acceptance speech and she was so down to earth and really humble about it. That's something you really don't see in Hollywood actors/actresses any more. Well done Sandra!!!

Avatar

From James Cameron, the director of Titanic comes a visionary journey that will take you into an extraordinary world and leave you breathless!
In Avatar we journey to the planet Pandora which is populated by the tribe known as the Na'vi. The people of the Na'vi tribe treat their planet with love and respect for everything within the realms of Pandora is in a sense indescribably beautiful!
At the begging of the film we follow a former marine Jake Sully to an army base outside of pandora where they have grown Avatars by mixing human DNA with DNA from the Na'vi tribe.
Jake has lost the use of his legs and so in an effort to help out in his call of duty he is assigned an Avatar in which he will control with his mind and will be able to journey into the world of Pandora and learn the ways of the people that inhabit it.
Upon arriving on Pandora Jake meets Neytiri and this is where the movie truly begins.
After being assigned to train Jake in the ways of the formal tribe, Neytiri is annoyed at the thought of having to teach an Alien (as they call the humans) the ways of life on her home planet.
As Neytiri and Jake bond more closer one to another you can only imagine that they will end up falling in love which is what should happen and it does and it makes you glad that they fall for each other.
Through all that is going on with Jake, learning the true way of the Na'vi tribe he was also instructed by those in charge on base to get close to the tribe so that he can convince them to leave their home base known as Home Tree so that the humans can destroy it because right underneath the Home Tree is a substance that is worth quite a bit of money and that is really all the troops care about and they will ultimately stop anyone who stands in there way no matter who it might be.
Jake is accepted into the tribe and decides to defend the Na'vis at every cost and will stop at nothing until the planet he has come to call home is safe from the humans once again!
The thing I loved about this movie is the way it pulls you in, from the story to the scenery and you can't help but care for the people of the Na'vi tribe. It truly was an incredible movie I can't wait for it to be released!
I would really hope that it would be a candidate for Best Picture of the Year because it deserves it!
This one is well worth an A

Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs

As odd as the Title of this movie is, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a fun filled family movie with plenty of humor, heart as well as Meatballs!
Ever since he was a kid, Flint Lockwood's dream was to be one of the worlds greatest scientists and create something great so that people would remember him forever.
Flint lives on a little island in the middle of the Atlantic where the only way to make ends meat is by catching and canning sardines. His father owns the towns bait shop where they of course sale sardines!
While his dream still hasn't come true, Flint works with his father at the bait shop and wishes his dream of creating something extraordinary would finally happen, until one day it does.
Flint creates a machine that is able to create and distribute any type of food, from hamburgers to hot dogs, ice cream, steaks and yes even Spaghetti.
When Flint completes his masterpiece, he one day sends it off like a rocket into the sky where it stays in space and rain's food in giant sized portions with the help from his computer that he enters the orders in.
Now everyone on the little island is in love with Flint's new invention and as you can imagine after a lifetime of eating nothing but sardines, they are placing their orders in like mad! And soon Flint's invention reaches an overload and spins out of control and is now sending down giant sized portions of whatever is ordered!
Now it is up to Flint to stop his machine from making planet earth look like one giant leftover!
I enjoyed every minuet of this movie! I had my doubts but was completely surprised!
I would rate this one with an A!

Witch and Wizard

I just got done reading James Patterson's latest thriller Witch and Wizard

Witch and Wizard is a story about a brother and sister who live in the present day, and are accused of being evil and a danger to the world because they are a Witch and Wizard.

Whit and Wisty are close in age and have grown up their whole lives not knowing what they truly were, until one night they are ripped from there home by a new organization that is on the rise to rid the world of those who have special abilities whether they be good or evil.

Whit and Wisty are judged and accused by the One who is the One (aka the leader of the New Order) of being a danger and threat to society and so they are sentenced to die on their 18th Birthday's. Fortunatley Whit is still 17 and Wisty is 16 so there is still time for the two to find a way to escape their fate before it's to late!

I enjoyed this book. I would say it belongs in the same genre as Harry Potter and The Twilight Saga.

Coming Soon to Blu-Ray and DVD

The Time Travelers Wife will be availabe February 9th.
Loved this movie and Can't wait
