From James Cameron, the director of Titanic comes a visionary journey that will take you into an extraordinary world and leave you breathless!
In Avatar we journey to the planet Pandora which is populated by the tribe known as the Na'vi. The people of the Na'vi tribe treat their planet with love and respect for everything within the realms of Pandora is in a sense indescribably beautiful!
At the begging of the film we follow a former marine Jake Sully to an army base outside of pandora where they have grown Avatars by mixing human DNA with DNA from the Na'vi tribe.
Jake has lost the use of his legs and so in an effort to help out in his call of duty he is assigned an Avatar in which he will control with his mind and will be able to journey into the world of Pandora and learn the ways of the people that inhabit it.
Upon arriving on Pandora Jake meets Neytiri and this is where the movie truly begins.
After being assigned to train Jake in the ways of the formal tribe, Neytiri is annoyed at the thought of having to teach an Alien (as they call the humans) the ways of life on her home planet.
As Neytiri and Jake bond more closer one to another you can only imagine that they will end up falling in love which is what should happen and it does and it makes you glad that they fall for each other.
Through all that is going on with Jake, learning the true way of the Na'vi tribe he was also instructed by those in charge on base to get close to the tribe so that he can convince them to leave their home base known as Home Tree so that the humans can destroy it because right underneath the Home Tree is a substance that is worth quite a bit of money and that is really all the troops care about and they will ultimately stop anyone who stands in there way no matter who it might be.
Jake is accepted into the tribe and decides to defend the Na'vis at every cost and will stop at nothing until the planet he has come to call home is safe from the humans once again!
The thing I loved about this movie is the way it pulls you in, from the story to the scenery and you can't help but care for the people of the Na'vi tribe. It truly was an incredible movie I can't wait for it to be released!
I would really hope that it would be a candidate for Best Picture of the Year because it deserves it!
This one is well worth an A
